Laguna Seca Race Report

Dated: May 17, 2008

(May 17, 2008) - Bryce Miller and Ted Ballou scored a tenth place finish after falling a lap from the leaders due to tire management and communication issues which rendered the car to pit lane for a lengthy inspection. In an attempt to regain the lead lap the team opted to run the same tires for the last three quarters of the race. Ballou and Miller’s finish pushed them into eighth in the GT point standings. IPC and TOTAL sponsors were on hand to cheer on their racecar from its underdog circumstances.

"We've made a lot of improvements with the car," Miller said. "We just keep moving forward. The team's working really hard and the chemistry is real good. There's just a little bit of speed that we need still. We'll just continue to look for that and hopefully we can crack into the top five here at some point in the season."

“It's awesome to have three cars in the top 10," said team owner Kevin Buckler. "Everybody did a good job. Bryce and Ted had a little bit of controversy, and Bryce really clawed back up here and it was great. It was a good run for them to keep it in the points…The only problem is we're getting so outgunned by the Pontiac that when you get up behind them, they're gone. No matter who's driving any of our cars, you just can't take them, and that's too bad."

The team sponsors will be convening on the outfield hill at Lime Rock Park for Memorial Day in the Marquis Jet/Paul Miller Porsche/Total Lubricants Luxury Tent. “I am hoping a podium result is on the horizon – I know my team deserves one.”
